Planning a School Expedition?

We work exclusively with international schools planning overseas expeditions to Lombok, Indonesia. Whether you’re in the early research phase or ready to discuss a specific program, we’re happy to talk through your requirements and give you an honest assessment of what’s right for your group.

Plan Your Lombok Adventure with Venture Beyond

Venture Beyond Expeditions is an Australian-registered company that designs and leads school expeditions exclusively on Lombok, Indonesia. Founded by Angus Lawrence and operating on the ground through our Lombok-based partner Rinjani Dawn Adventures, we work directly with Heads of Outdoor Education and school trip coordinators to deliver safe, curriculum-aligned expeditions to Mount Rinjani.
We don’t run consumer travel. Every program we operate is designed for secondary school groups, with safety frameworks, risk documentation, and curriculum support built in from the start.

FAQ

How quickly will you respond to my enquiry?

We respond to all school enquiries within one business day. If you're contacting us outside Australian business hours, we'll be in touch the following morning.

What information should I have ready before enquiring?

You don't need anything formal at this stage. It helps to have a rough idea of your group size, year group, preferred travel window, and any curriculum objectives you're working toward - but if you're still in the early research phase, that's fine too. We're happy to have an initial conversation and help you work through the options.

Is there any obligation to book after making an enquiry?

None at all. An enquiry is just the start of a conversation. We'll put together a detailed proposal for your school and give you everything you need to take it through your internal approval process - with no pressure to commit.

Can you provide documentation for our school's risk committee?

Yes. We provide comprehensive risk assessment documentation aligned with the Australian Adventure Activity Standards, including guide qualifications, emergency protocols, evacuation procedures, and insurance details. We're experienced in supporting schools through board and risk committee approval processes.

Do you work with schools outside Australia?

Yes. We work with independent and international schools across Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, the UK, and beyond. All programs are designed to align with common curriculum frameworks including IB CAS and Duke of Edinburgh Award.

What's the minimum group size you accept?

We accept school groups from 8 students for the Cultural and Service Expedition, and from 10 students for our trekking programs. Contact us if your group is smaller and we'll see what we can do.

Can we arrange a call before submitting a formal enquiry?

Absolutely. If you'd prefer to talk through your requirements before filling in the form, feel free to reach out via WhatsApp - it's the quickest way to get a direct response from our team.
